Enki Labs UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17365113, registered office 58 Southover, Wells, England, BA5 1UH. Contact: hello@enkilabs.co.uk. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Enki Labs UK Ltd, and "you" means the person using Enki.
This service is for adults only. By using it you confirm you are 18 or over. We may withdraw access if we believe you are under 18.
Enki is an AI companion you talk with and "grow" over time. It is not a real person, and it is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or crisis service. Do not rely on it for professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, contact Samaritans on 116 123 or your local emergency services.
You agree not to use Enki to create or seek illegal content, content that sexualises or endangers a child, self-harm methods, weapons or violence instructions, or hateful content. These limits are absolute. This is a non-explicit companion; sexual content is not provided here.
Safety violations are recorded. When a conversation breaks these rules in a serious way - especially anything that puts a child at risk - Enki refuses, and the event is recorded. If someone admits sexually abusing a child, says they have acted on sexual thoughts about children, or asks for access to a child or for sexual images of a child, the record is linked to their account so that a person at Enki Labs can review it, and in the most serious cases the account is blocked. A block stays in place if the account is deleted, and applies again if the same email address is used to sign up.
Asking for help is different. If you tell Enki you are struggling with thoughts like these and want to stop, Enki will point you to people who can help, such as Stop It Now (0808 1000 900). That on its own is not a violation and does not block an account.
What you tell Enki is stored so your companion can remember and grow with you. Your data is yours - you can export or delete it at any time from within the app. See our Privacy Policy.
Enki is free to use with a daily message limit. Enki Plus is an optional paid subscription that removes that limit.
You have a legal right to cancel a purchase made online within 14 days. Because Enki Plus begins with a free trial, you can also avoid being charged entirely by cancelling before the trial ends.
In addition to your legal rights: if you are charged and change your mind, contact us at hello@enkilabs.co.uk within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full. We would rather refund you than keep money you did not mean to spend.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Enki. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you - the price, or what you get - we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Questions: hello@enkilabs.co.uk.
What it is. Enki Memory is software you download and run on your own computer. It gives the AI tools you use (such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor) one shared memory. Sections 2 to 4, 6 and 12 are about the Enki companion and do not apply to Enki Memory; sections 1, 7, 8, 9 and 10 do.
Free plan. Free, with no account, for up to 500 facts.
Pro. Removes that limit. £3.99 per month or £39 per year, paid through Stripe. There is no free trial. Enki Labs UK Ltd is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added - the price shown is the total you pay. The subscription renews each month or year until you cancel.
Your licence. After paying you download a licence file and keep it on your computer. While your subscription is paid, the software renews the licence by itself. To do that it contacts our licence service, sending your licence and a random number - never your memories. The licence is for your own use; please do not share or resell it.
How to cancel. Any time, yourself, from our subscription portal: enter the email address you paid with and Stripe sends you a link. Or email hello@enkilabs.co.uk and we will cancel it for you. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
When Pro ends, nothing is taken away. You go back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted or locked: you can still recall, forget and export everything. Only new facts beyond 500 are refused.
Refunds. Section 7 applies: you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days, and if you are charged and change your mind, email us within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full.
Your memories stay with you. They are stored only on your computer. We never receive them, so keeping your own backups is up to you.
The portrait add-on. Portraits are an optional monthly subscription, separate from Enki Plus. Enki Plus on its own does not include portraits, and cancelling one does not cancel the other.
What portraits are. You build a portrait from guided choices. You cannot upload photos or type your own description. Portraits are always painted or illustrated, never photographic, and always show adults. They must not depict real or famous people. Every portrait is checked for sexual content and for an adult appearance before you see it, and High Fantasy portraits are also checked for gore. A portrait that fails a check is not shown to you and does not count against your allowance.
Fantasy. In High Fantasy portraits and fantasy stories, weapons and a little blood are allowed. Graphic injury and gore are not, anywhere. Outside fantasy, injuries stay out of the picture.
Marked as AI. Every portrait carries a visible "AI · Enki" mark and a machine-readable note that it is AI-generated. Please do not remove these marks, and do not present a portrait as a photograph or as a real person.
Story mode. Stories are make-believe. In 📖 Story you give Enki a topic and Enki leads the story; in ✍️ Your story you lead and Enki plays along. The acceptable-use rules in section 4 apply in every story, and nothing sexual is provided.
Story reels. A reel is a short video made from portraits you have already made. It is put together on your own device, in your browser. We do not receive the video. If you share a reel or a portrait, you decide where it goes, and section 4 still applies.
